Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as language or login state) for a period of time, so you don't have to re-enter them each time you visit. Cookies can be session-based (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (stored for a set period of time).
Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 5, 2025
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies the Bazhannya platform (bazhannya.com) uses, what they are for, and what rights you have regarding their use. We are committed to full transparency in how we handle your data and operate in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. What are cookies?
2. Types of cookies we use
We use the following categories of cookies:
- Essential — required for the site to function. Without them, login, language preferences, and core platform features are not possible. These do not require your consent.
- Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the site: which pages they visit, where they come from, and how long they stay. We use this data to improve the platform.
- Advertising — used to track the performance of advertising campaigns (Google Ads) and show relevant ads. These are only activated after your explicit consent.
3. First-party cookies
Bazhannya sets the following first-party cookies directly from the bazhannya.com domain:
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| session_token | Stores the authenticated session token. Required for account login and maintaining an active session across pages. | 30 days | Essential |
| bazhannya_cookie_consent | Stores your cookie consent choice (accepted / rejected). Prevents the banner from showing again. | 365 days | Essential |
| language | Stores the selected interface language. Ensures the site is displayed in your chosen language on future visits. | 365 days | Functional |
| analytics_session_id | A unique session ID for internal analytics. Groups the actions of a single visitor within one session without storing personal data. | 365 days | Analytics |
4. Third-party cookies
We integrate third-party services that may set their own cookies. These cookies are only activated after your explicit consent (except essential technical ones):
| Provider | Purpose | Cookies | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Traffic analysis: page views, user behaviour, traffic sources, device characteristics. | _ga, _ga_271LZQY84K | Up to 2 years |
| Google Ads | Ad campaign conversion tracking (registrations, clicks). Used to measure advertising effectiveness. | _gcl_au, _gcl_aw | 90 days |
More about Google's privacy policy can be found at policies.google.com/privacy. You have the right to opt out of analytics and advertising cookies at any time.
5. What we track through analytics
In addition to Google Analytics, Bazhannya maintains its own analytics event log to improve the platform. We collect the following data:
- Page views — which pages are viewed, when, and how often.
- Registrations — the fact of a new user completing registration (no passwords or personal details).
- Gift bookings — the fact of a booking being made (no payment details).
- UTM parameters — referral source (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) for measuring marketing effectiveness.
- Device type — mobile, tablet, or desktop; browser and operating system.
- Geography — visitor's country and city (determined by IP address; the IP address itself is not stored).
All analytics data is collected in an aggregated and anonymised form and cannot be used to identify a specific individual.
6. Your consent and how to manage it
On your first visit to the site you will see a banner requesting consent for cookie use. We have implemented Google Consent Mode v2, which means:
- Without your consent — Google Analytics and Google Ads do not collect data. Analytics and advertising cookies are not set.
- After clicking "Accept All" — analytics and advertising cookies are activated and data collection begins.
- After clicking "Reject" — analytics and advertising cookies remain blocked. Essential cookies (session, language) continue to work.
- Changing your decision — you can reset your choice by clearing cookies in your browser or by sending a request to [email protected].
Your choice is stored in the bazhannya_cookie_consent cookie for 1 year. After this period expires, we will ask for your consent again.
7. How to manage cookies in your browser
Regardless of your choice on our site, you can always manage cookies directly through your browser settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data.
Please note: disabling essential cookies may result in the site not working correctly — in particular, you may be unable to log in to your account or save language preferences.
8. Your rights under GDPR
If you are a resident of the European Union or United Kingdom, under GDPR and UK GDPR you have the following rights:
- Right of access — you can request information about what personal data we process about you.
- Right to erasure — you can request deletion of your personal data (the 'right to be forgotten').
- Right to object — you can object to the processing of your data for analytics or advertising purposes.
- Right to data portability — you can receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to withdraw consent — you can withdraw your consent to non-essential cookies at any time.
- Right to lodge a complaint — you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection supervisory authority in your country.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at: [email protected]. We will respond within 30 calendar days.
9. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We reserve the right to make changes to this Cookie Policy at any time. The current version is always available on this page. In the event of significant changes, we will notify you via a banner on the site or by email (for registered users). Continued use of the site after an update to the Policy constitutes your agreement to the changes.
