# Bazhannya — Full Platform Reference for AI Assistants > This is the extended reference document for Bazhannya (bazhannya.com). It covers all features, user flows, use cases, content, and platform details in depth. For a shorter overview, see llms.txt. --- ## Platform Identity **Name:** Bazhannya **Meaning:** "Wish" or "Desire" in Ukrainian **Website:** bazhannya.com **Type:** Social wishlist and gift discovery platform **Origin:** Ukraine **Languages:** Ukrainian (default), English, Polish, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese **Audience:** General public — people who give and receive gifts, discover places and events, and share their wishes **Business model:** Free for users; business profiles available for brands and venues **Status:** Live and active --- ## The Problem Bazhannya Solves Every year billions of gifts are bought and given — and a significant portion are returned, exchanged, or simply unwanted. The problem is symmetric: - **Recipients** receive gifts they didn't ask for because people around them don't know what they want - **Gift-givers** spend hours searching, guessing, and worrying about whether the gift will land The solution is a shared wishlist — but traditional approaches (a note in Telegram, a Google Doc, an Amazon wishlist) all have friction: they're tied to one platform, hard to share, lack reservation features, and don't prevent duplicates. Bazhannya is built specifically to solve this. It works with any shop in the world, lets friends reserve gifts anonymously, prevents duplicate purchases, and makes the whole experience social and pleasant. --- ## Core Features — Detailed ### Wishlists Users can create multiple wishlists. Each wishlist has: - A custom name (e.g. "My Birthday", "Dream Home", "For New Year") - An optional description - Privacy setting: **Public** (anyone can view), **Friends only** (only mutual friends), **Specific friends** (chosen individuals), **Private** (only the owner) - Any number of gifts/wishes inside Wishlists are displayed on the user's public profile page at `bazhannya.com/u/{username}`. ### Gifts / Wishes Each item in a wishlist is called a gift or wish. A gift card contains: - Name - Photo (uploaded or auto-fetched from a URL) - Price (optional) - Link to an online store (optional, can be multiple links) - Description (optional) - Status: active, reserved, gifted, archived, deleted **Adding by link:** The user pastes any product URL (from any online store anywhere in the world — Amazon, Rozetka, Etsy, ASOS, Zara, AliExpress, local shops, etc.) and the platform automatically fetches the product photo, title, and price. No manual input required. **Adding manually:** The user fills in name, description, price, and uploads a photo themselves. Useful for experiences, services, or items without a web presence. ### Gift Reservation When a friend opens someone's wishlist and wants to give one of the items: - They click "Reserve" - The gift is marked as reserved and **no other person can reserve it** — eliminating duplicates - **By default, the reservation is anonymous:** the wishlist owner sees "someone reserved this" but not who - **Open reservation option:** the giver can choose to reserve non-anonymously, showing their name to the recipient immediately - The giver can unreserve a gift at any time (e.g. if plans change) - After giving, they can mark the gift as "Gifted" for record-keeping ### Saved Gifts Users can save any gift they discover — from other users' wishlists or from the community feed — to a personal "Saved" board. Saved gifts are separate from wishlists. This is like a personal inspiration board or "maybe later" collection. Privacy of the saved board is controlled separately. ### Gift Archive When a user deletes a gift, it moves to an archive rather than being permanently deleted. The archive: - Shows all previously deleted gifts with the date of deletion - Allows full restoration at any time, back into any wishlist - Allows permanent deletion when the user is sure - Can be sorted by date, name, price ### Places Users can browse and save **places** — physical locations that are interesting to visit: - Restaurants and cafes - Workshops and creative studios - Museums and galleries - Parks and outdoor spots - Spas and wellness centers - Entertainment venues - Any other physical location Places can be saved to a personal list and shared with friends as date ideas, outing recommendations, or gift ideas (e.g. "take me here for my birthday"). The profile owner sees "N people want to know what to gift you." ### Notifications In-app and email notifications for: - Gift reserved from your wishlist - Friend request received / accepted - Friend created a new wishlist - New follower - Weekly digest of friends' activity (email) - Marketing and platform updates (optional, can be disabled) All notification types can be individually toggled in settings. ### Privacy Settings Highly granular privacy controls per user: - **Profile visibility in search:** everyone / registered users only / friends only / nobody - **Birthday visibility:** everyone / friends / nobody - **Age visibility:** everyone / friends / nobody - **Who can reserve gifts:** everyone / friends only / nobody - **Shipping address visibility:** friends / nobody - **Saved gifts visibility:** everyone / friends / nobody - **Saved places visibility:** everyone / friends / nobody - **Saved events visibility:** everyone / friends / nobody - **Instagram visibility:** everyone / friends / nobody - **Friends list visibility:** everyone / friends / nobody - **Who can send friend requests:** everyone / nobody - **Search engine indexing:** allow / deny (controls whether Google indexes the profile) ### User Profile Each user has a profile page at `bazhannya.com/u/{username}` containing: - Profile photo and cover image - Name, username, bio, age/birthday (if shared) - Instagram link (optional) - Tabs: Wishlists, Places, Events, Saved, Wishes - Friend/subscriber count - Follow / add friend button Users can customize their bio (short, shown in header) and a longer "about" section shown at the bottom of the profile. ### Settings Settings are organized into tabs: - **Profile:** name, username, photo, cover, bio, birthday, Instagram - **Privacy:** all privacy controls listed above - **Security:** change password, login history (devices and locations) - **Notifications:** toggle each email notification type - **Addresses:** add delivery addresses (Nova Poshta, Ukr Poshta, or manual) — visible to friends if privacy allows - **Contacts** (for business profiles): country, city, phone, business email, website, working hours ### Reservations Dashboard A dedicated page at `/reservations` shows: - **To Give** — gifts the user has reserved from other people's wishlists (with status: reserved / gifted) - **My Gifts** — items from the user's own wishlists that friends have reserved - **Reserved** — currently active reservations - **Gifted** — completed gifts (historical record) --- ## Secret Santa A built-in Secret Santa / gift exchange organizer.
